Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Completion of a LVN/LPN or equivalent
- Holds a current LVN/LPN license in good standing or equivalent
- Two years of related clinical nursing experience
- CPR through the American Heart Association
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with inpatient level of care
- Interest in learning about EBT for OCD and Anxiety
- Interest in mental health nursing

Job Description
At Cascade Home, we provide short term 90-day residential treatment to female identifying adolescents ages 13-18 struggling with OCD and/or other cripplingly anxiety related disorders.
As a part of our holistic approach to treating the individual, along with ERP based interventions, we are integrating nursing staff to provide medical care to students and assist our psychiatrist with best medical care to the community.
Due to the pervasive nature of OCD and its common physiological presence, nursing staff must be integrated in the team dynamic and dedicated to continual education around OCD and anxiety.
Clients are adolescent age (13-18) with various neurological conditions such as: OCD, Anxiety, Asperger’s, Autism, ADHD, Insomnia, Learning Disorders, and more.

What You'll Do:
- Assess the physical condition of the youth in the program under the direction of the medical director or psychiatrist and integrate findings into the youth's treatment plan
- Provide education and support to direct care staff on the administering of medications and possible side effects, under the direction of the medical director or other physician
- Nursing assessment and report within the first 24 hours of an admission
- Initial treatment and safety plan consultation (within the first 24 hours and then weekly)
- Medication dispensing daily
- Providing Health/Hygiene/sex education
- Medication education to families and students
- Attend treatment team meeting weekly
- This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients
- This may include delegation of appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including but not limited to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians
- Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments and modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies client’s treatment team appropriately
- Assesses, collaborates and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family
- Be an active part of an interdisciplinary team-attending meetings and effectively communicating
