BELOVED is an anti-sex trafficking organization lovingly equipping brave women on their new path to freedom. The BELOVED Restoration Program is a trauma informed program offering clinical individualized care that includes safe housing, Strength Based case management, mental health services, and a healthy community for each resident.
The Resident Advocate role is a key position supporting the residents' growth and recovery. The position assists in identifying and meeting residents' needs, building community, engaging in volunteer activities, and care coordination through the weekend hours. PRN Resident Advocate assists program team on an as needed basis in executing weekly schedule and filling in shifts for current Resident Advocates. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate with the Residential Coordinator and Case Managers to effectively manage residents’ schedules, transportation, and ensure their individual needs are met
2. Assist the Residential Coordinator and Case Managers when needed with individual client concerns and overall program issues
3. Execute weekend schedule and plan activities for residents
4. Manage resident phone line for resident calls while on shift
5. Assist with grocery shopping and purchasing and distribution of house and resident supplies
6. Provide residents’ transportation to appointments, grocery store or passes
7. Provide transportation to AA/NA meetings and track resident attendance
8. Enforce home and resident handbook guidelines and reinforce resident conflict de-escalation guidelines
9. Conduct personal and house searches to ensure houses are kept safe, orderly, and well maintained
10. Report maintenance requests to Residential Coordinator to ensure repairs are conducted when needed at residential homes
PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPS
● This position reports to the Residential Coordinator
● This position works with the Residential Coordinator, Program Manager, and program team to ensure each resident is receiving the highest level of care
● Majority of the role will be interacting with BELOVED residents
QUALIFICATIONS
● High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or higher in a behavioral or social science field preferred
● One year or more of related experience in residential direct care support for relevant populations preferred
● Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products
● Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around at-risk populations
● Clean Motor Vehicle Record
● Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds
● Satisfactory criminal history background check
SALARY: $15-18 per hour based on experience
