Keslow Camera is a rental house that provides camera systems for feature films, television shows, commercials, and other various media outlets. Keslow Camera is looking for an HR & Payroll Generalist for the Culver City office to serve as a key resource and point of contact to our entire team as it relates to all HR and payroll matters. Maintaining high levels of confidentiality, accuracy and prioritization in all tasks is a crucial aspect of this role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following functional areas: HR/Payroll systems (HRIS), benefits administration, payroll processing and reporting, employee relations support, recruitment, New Hire Orientation, and general administrative tasks.
· Proactively develops and supports a positive company culture that emphasizes around our culture code: Positivity, Teamwork, Pride, Striving
· Develops HR oriented solutions by collecting and analyzing relevant information for discussion with HR Manager.
· Maintaining the company in compliance with Federal, State, Local employment requirements by studying and practicing existing legislation, anticipating legislation and recommending changes so that we adhere to US & Canadian requirements, respectively.
· Active participation in HR professional organizations, attends HR educational events such as seminars and webcasts.
· Responsible for payroll process (US & Canada) which includes accurate data entry, running reports and logging any and all payroll employee information each pay period.
· Talent Acquisition efforts for all locations.
· Maintains a high level of confidentiality on all company and/or HR related matters
· Takes ownership of/facilitates our company’s New Employee Orientation process.
· Creating and administering monthly HR Calendar items to ensure that 401(K) enrollments and health benefit eligibility occurs as well as processing enrollments through our health plan broker.
· Assists HR Manager with administration of company’s health benefit Open Enrollment period (US & Canada).
· Files personnel documents (e-file/hard file)
· Serves as back-up support for Front Desk Coordinator role
· Assists in planning monthly employee events
· Reconciles monthly health coverage billing
· Completes special projects as assigned by the HR Manager, COO, CFO and/or CEO.
· Helps ensure that there is standardization and accountability in all HR related efforts.
Qualifications:
· BS in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration or related field of study.
· 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources generalist support role.
· In-person presence required.
· Familiarity and experience using ADP HRIS/payroll system
· Familiarity and experience with HRIS and payroll implementation processes
· Ability to demonstrate engagement and support to an evolving business.
· Superior verbal and written communication skills.
· High attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
· Working knowledge of multi-state HR laws and practices.
· Proven service minded approach to delivering HR support.
· Ability to travel to out-of-state or out-of-country locations as needed.
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to use Mac Operating system.
