Job Overview:
Brown & McCook is hiring a dedicated accountant with an extensive background working in QuickBooks. The ideal candidate is able to maintain multiple QuickBooks files for different clients across various industries, provide clients with a high level of service and attention to detail, have a strong understanding of accounting principles, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. We have decided to sacrifice a long client list for a curated clientele filled with individuals and companies that we enjoy working with and serving at a high level rather than getting deliverables out the door. Pay ranges from $50,000-$75,000 depending on experience.
Duties:
- QuickBooks data entry and monthly accounting.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, such as recording journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting

This is a full-time, in-office accounting position available for immediate fill.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in QuickBooks for multiple companies
- Experience in both QuickBooks Online and desktop
- Experience in starting accounting for company or companies from scratch
- Experience in bill pay and schedule management
- Self motivated, self starter, self accountability, and desire to learn and grow everyday
- Very good communication skills and understanding what and why behind what we do
- Must be capable of problem solving with a willingness to do what it is needed to research or use tools to figure out how to accomplish things

Compensation:
