We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Administrative Assistant in the Export Department. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting our Export Sales Manager in managing and expanding our international sales operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a relationship builder, is organized, analytical, and has expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. While experience in a similar role is preferred, we also welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow within a sales environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Export Sales Manager in day-to-day operations, including entering and managing contracts, customer correspondence, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Prepare sales reports, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient order processing, logistics, and delivery of products.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, including customer information, orders, and contracts.
- Communicate with international customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Support the Export Sales Manager in identifying new market opportunities and developing strategies to expand our global presence.
- Follow-up on sales leads to generate sales.
- Assist in the coordination of domestic and international travel arrangements as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science/Arts degree (concentrated in Business Administration, Sales, International Trade, Marketing)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to generate reports and analyze data effectively.
- Proficiency in multiple languages is preferred, as it will facilitate communication with international customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative and cooperative approach.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work proactively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Office hours at the Commack, NY office are as follows: Monday – Wednesday 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Ability to work the extra hours necessary to get the job done during our peak shipping season(s).)
