Our goal is to instill life skills that will not only help recovering individuals while living in our recovery homes, but will also be of value when clients re-integrate back into mainstream society.
**The Grant Writer will be responsible to research, draft, write and submit grant proposals. Proposals will be submitted to government agencies, private companies, foundations, and trusts for both general operating revenue and programmatic projects that support the mission and vision of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Create funding proposals and reports in a compelling and transparent manner
- Research grant opportunities with government agencies, foundations, private companies and trusts
- Persuasively communicate the foundation's mission and programs to potential funders
- Assembling and submitting grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations
- Comply with all grant reporting requirements from all donor agencies and/or companies
- Maintain security and quality controls of all documentation
- Create, manage and track the Grant Calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reporting deadlines

Experience And Education:
- Bachelor's degree in creative writing or other related field preferred
- 5+ years of grant writing experience
- previous experience with non-profit fundraising preferred
- proficient in measuring and reaching income goals
- Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively, according to the goals of the organization
- Strong written communication skills; ability to write transparently, structured, persuasively; strong editing skills
- Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources
- Strong people skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Teams preferred
