Staff Engineer

Major Responsibilities
o Perform take-offs and material quotes for contractors. Track and follow up on projects
o Provide engineering support and technical guidance to engineers and contractors
o Be actively involved in “Technical committees” to stay engaged with the engineering community.
o Working with the sales team to proactively identify value engineering opportunities where helical piles/anchors are a viable alternative.
▪ This includes pro-actively prospecting jobs
▪ Sharing projects with clients to garner interest in bidding on the project and preparing bid documents for said projects.
▪ Identifying prospect engineers/contractors and educating them o Prepare material submittal packages for customers o Prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectations
Primary Day to Day
o Put together take offs/quotes.
o Answer technical/engineering questions.
o Continuous learning to become internal/external subject matter expert
o Identify new project opportunities
o Identify and follow up with potential customers visiting the website
Qualifications
o BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural engineering; or its demonstrated equivalent
o EIT or PE certification preferred but not required.
o 5 years Civil/Geotechnical or Structural experience
o Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
o Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, basic CAD)
o Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are necessary. o Strong customer service experience
