Queens based OPWDD provider seeks a highly qualified and experienced Fully- time Quality Assurance Specialist for our QA Dept.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct all investigations related to individual abuse, incidents and other agency affairs as needed by the Agency within the required OPWDD timeframes.
- Timely submission of investigative reports and corrective action plans for allegations of abuse and neglect according to the Justice Center requirements
- Conduct agency wide programmatic internal audits and ensure that the agency is prepared for external audits. In conjunction with management, develops and implements corrective action plans in response to external and internal audits
- Assist with curriculum and conduct agency-wide trainings on Corporate Compliance, HIPAA and other regulatory/core training topics.
- Ensure that agency is in compliance with all Federal, OPWDD, NYS and local regulations.
- Assist Agency programs in preparing for all external audits from agencies such as OPWDD, DQI, OSHA, OMIG and OIG.
- Interfaces as an agency representative with OPWDD, IMU and Justice Center.
- Navigate and submit information into IRMA within regulatory time frames.
- Identify areas of concern and work with Dept/Program director to create systems to address these concerns.
- Develop written reports of internal management audit findings
- Assists with Incident tracking, monitoring and trend analysis.
- Completes Justice Center and OPWDD-approved Incident Investigation Certification Program and maintains certification as investigator
Requirements:
- B.A. degree in Human Services and at least 2 years OPWDD experience required.
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations required.
- Candidate must have excellent written, communication skills and reasoning ability.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Duties require appropriate handling of confidential information and materials.
- NYS Driver’s license preferred.
- Travel required within the boroughs. Car is helpful.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
