QUALIFICATIONS of the Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN:
- A current unencumbered license to practice nursing in the state in which the center is located.
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and speak English, as well as add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS of the Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN:
- Demonstrates the ability to implement systems that address each resident’s needs. Having a broad scope of knowledge and experience to be able to address the needs of the medically complex as well as the mentally compromised residents.
- Demonstrates the ability to assess the health care needs of the resident, make a nursing diagnosis, transition this into an interdisciplinary plan of care utilizing all resources available. Then is able to communicate this plan to all care providers in a way that ensures continuity of care for resident.
- Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain functional communications with staff, other disciplines, residents, families, medical staff and community.
- Treats residents, staff and facility community with respect and dignity. Treating resident and facility property and information with honesty, confidentiality, and respect.
- All Casa staff members must be in compliance with the Department of Health's COVID-19 Up to Date Vaccination Guidance.
