Job Description
The Technical Business Analyst /Engineer, working on a Field as a Service (FaaS) engagement, play a crucial part in guiding the technical aspects of a data-intensive project. They will collaborate closely with our solutions architect to ensure seamless data flows, effective denormalization processes, and optimal data management strategies. The successful candidate will leverage expertise in complex data analysis, organization, denormalization, and transformations to drive the project's success. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating all project documentation.
The day-to-day responsibilities will involve working with large datasets, identifying patterns and trends, and applying advanced analytical techniques to extract valuable insights. The TBA/Engineer 1 will be instrumental in shaping the overall data strategy, ensuring data integrity, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust data models and schemas to support complex data transformations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.
- Write complex SQL and JSON queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Utilize Big Query or similar data warehouse technologies to efficiently process and analyze large datasets.
- Design and document APIs using Swagger and Postman.
- Implement advanced data mining and statistical techniques to uncover insights and patterns.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of data engineering and analytics.
Required Experience/Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in writing complex SQL and JSON queries.
- Experience with Big Query or similar data warehouse technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of data modeling with transformations.
- Proficiency in API design, Swagger, and Postman.
- Strong understanding of data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container design principles.
- Familiarity with Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Data Prep, Data Notebooks, Data Canvas, and Data Forms.
- Passion for staying current with emerging data engineering trends and technologies.
- Experience in a financial technology or related industry.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
