Searching for a dynamic community manager for a 273 affordable NEW CONSTRUCTION building located in the Parkhill area.
Delwest Management is seeking a full-time Community Manager who is well versed in property management and is certified in Tax Credit compliance. Applicants must have 5 years of verifiable property management experience working with the affordable housing program with an understanding of strict timelines associated with a lease-up.
Delwest is a development company that builds and manages their own communities. The Community Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the property including, but not limited to staff supervision, coordination and oversight of the maintenance team, all administrative duties for yourself and your team. This dynamic Community Manager will have proven experience in building and maintaining positive and supportive employee and resident relationships. Experience in ResMan property management software is helpful but not necessary but must have knowledge in similar property management software. This will be a fast paced environment and you must be able to multitask. The ability to manage customer care and resident satisfaction is important to Delwest.
Minimum Qualifications:
Responsible for the timely completion of all duties, work, and documentation necessary in the areas of resident relations and retention; property accounting; daily property operations, appearance and functions of the office are an important part of this role.
Review applications for program eligibility to send to the compliance team for approvals with accuracy for a quick turn-around; maintain the interest list and ensure all incoming leads are followed up on by you and/or your leasing staff. Promptly and professionally respond to emails and phone messages.
Must be able to prepare and present timely property updates to owner, investors and attend neighborhood meetings as requested.
Acts as a first line of communication with residents, ensuring their needs are understood and met. Ensures a positive customer service experience is met with all incoming prospects and residents.
Hires/terminates, trains, supervises, evaluates, and manages all on-site staff. Performs annual performance reviews and is able to communicate clearly the goals and objectives of the ownership to your staff. Provides for a positive working environment for all staff with an ability to motivate while coaching and mentoring.
Maintain accounting and office files for all business and financial records in ResMan and other software such as GOOGLE/MICROSOFT OFFICE and G-SUITE. Follow-up with marketing efforts made by the marketing department to achieve five-star reviews, maintain a positive image and build goodwill within the community.
Ability to work independently, must be a self-starter, Dependable. Since this is a new construction project, our community room/office will not be available immediately so a temporary location to work in will be set until construction is complete.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and in verbal communication.
Knowledge of Fair Housing, State Landlord rights and obligations.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time/Monday - Friday; must be able to work some weekends during lease-up and/or until a Leasing Agent is hired to fill those hours. On-call duties in cases of emergency.
