RESPONSIBILITIES:
· SMT Employees: Directly responsible for the hiring, discipline, training, reviews, and motivation of SMT Assembly Operators.
· Communication: between Production, Purchasing, Marketing, Document Control, and the Quality Department to achieve a high level of quality products to customers.
· Planning: Scheduling SMT Jobs. Interacting with the overall schedule needed to support OTD. Includes managing changes (ECN & Deviations for Product configuration)
· Managing Day-to-Day SMT thru-put: Assign all duties to operators, and maintain a positive process flow, from inception to shipping.
· Technical: Review Product requirements (Regulations, ISO SOPs, Customer requirements/expectations), and take all steps necessary for Process development, Process implementation, Process Control, and Process measurements (including SPC implementation).
· Equipment: Ensure PM & Calibrations are done as required. Advise and participate in the New Equipment Procurement Process
· Audits: Primary Interface person for ISO, Customer, and regulatory Audits
· Procedures & Work Instructions: Develop and Maintain procedures and documents needed for SMT Operations. Answer any SMT-related CAR(s).
· Prevention: Enforce attitude of defect prevention. Enforce the following of Procedures and requirements
· Creating SMT Machine Programs (P&P, SPI)
· Creating reflow oven profiles and analysis
· Machine operating experience with Juki P&P machines (1080, 2080, 3020 models)
· Machine operating experience with JUKI machine (AIMEXIII)
· Machine operating experience with MYDATA machine
· Ordering and managing SMT Stencils
· Understand and assist with Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI)
· Hands-on BGA Replacement using a rework station
· Board X-ray - Both machine knowledge and capability to understand and interpret images.
· Other duties, activities, and jobs as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum college degree, and equivalent of 5 to 7 years of related work lead/Supervisory experience.
· Knowledge (in-depth) hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes (including equipment(s) used for SMT. (Juki, Fuji experience needed)
· ISO and IPC acceptance standards. PCB knowledge is highly desirable
· Excellent communication skills. Teamwork is critical. Problem solving. Self-starter/driver
