Manager's Title: Front Desk Operations Supervisor
Summarize major function of the position:
Provides a welcoming, informative, and supportive environment for patients. Ensures the smooth administrative functioning of the office, especially patient scheduling, insurance authorizations, and treatment documentation.
List essential functions of the position:

Greets patients and visitors, determines needs, and directs them accordingly.

Answers all telephone calls and directs to the appropriate person.

Schedules, confirms, cancels, and reschedules appointments as necessary.

Coordinates new patient information. Processes new patients and enters demographic information into the system.

Answers patient questions in person or on the phone and gives accurate information within the limits of his or her knowledge and medical practice policies.

Confirms and coordinates referral/authorization information, enters in the system and monitors status.

Collects patient insurance before visit, enters into the system and verifies eligibility.

Collects and records patient payments.

Completes all scanning, patient referrals, patient voicemail messages and other daily tasks timely.

Maintains a neat, professional, and welcoming waiting room and reception area.

Processes attorneys requests for medical records and copies of bills.

Performs additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma.
-
Minimum two years' administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills, and telephone skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to operate a computer for most of the workday with appropriate rest periods.
