At Kids First Pediatric Therapy, Occupational Therapists provide family-oriented, evidence-based therapy services to children using an intrinsically motivating, energized approach to promote increased self-esteem, functionality, and quality of life.

II. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Complete thorough evaluation of all areas of concerns within scope of practice
- Complete thorough documentation of evaluation results, intervention services, daily notes, and discharge reports in accordance with state guidelines, clinic policy, and reimbursement standards
- With parent input and provider approval, develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each child incorporating functional abilities with the objective to achieve successful participation in meaningful occupations
- Educate and demonstrate (verbally and/or written) therapy techniques to increase carryover and assist families in home program facilitation
- Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education courses as appropriate/required
- Monitor individual’s progress to determine the effect of intervention and need for continuation, modification, or termination of service
- Perform any other duties that are from time to time deemed necessary under clinic policies and procedures
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationship with supervisor and other staff
III. Core Requirements
- Provide clinical supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and/or graduate students in accordance with federal and state laws, AOTA standards, and clinic policy
- Maintain professional clinical competency by attending certified CEU in-services and workshops in the area of pediatrics and/or young adults
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA laws and regulations and report to your supervisor any potential or actual breeches
- Follow Kids First’s Policies and Procedures
- Maintain, organize, and prioritize workload and treatment environments on a regular basis
IV. Position Requirements / Qualifications
A. Education Required:
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited College or University
- National Board Certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
B. Preferred Experience:
- Fieldwork experience in a pediatric setting
- One year of experience in a childcare or pediatric care facility preferred

Workplace Setting:
- Outpatient pediatric clinic offering OT, SLP and PT to children 0-18.
Job Duties:
- Evaluating a patient's functional status
- Establishing treatment goals
- Planning treatment
- Implementing the plan of care through direct treatment
- Coordinating treatment with other health care personnel
- Providing instruction and education to patient, family, and caregivers to promote carryover from clinic to home, school, etc.
- Participating in multidisciplinary patient care conferences
- Providing accurate, timely documentation of treatment
- Participating in appropriate, approved educational and clinical research activities
