Note: The position will begin full time in office and then will move to hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days remote once we feel the candidate is adequately trained. Mandatory days in office for hybrid are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Job Description :
- Role will provide full-service travel assistance to all teams within the Investment Management Division (IMD) of Teacher Retirement System (TRS).
- The travel services will include travel planning, booking, and travel request and expense reimbursement initiation for the traveler. In addition, the role will train to audit and approve travel requests and travel reimbursements for all IMD travelers.
Travel Related Job Functions:
- Work with department managers to develop fiscal year travel plans
- Develop and produce weekly and monthly travel reporting through Concur travel management system
- Review and process travel requests and claims for travel-related reimbursement within Concur, including:
- Review travel requests for completeness and compliance with agency policy, Comptroller's Office Travel Allowance Guidelines, and other regulations and procedures
- Enter travel request and voucher information into the Texas Comptroller's CAPPS accounting system and submit travel vouchers for reimbursement
- Reconcile the central billed travel account, including researching and resolving discrepancies
Requirements
- Skill in effective verbal and written communication of complex managerial and technical information, including skill in presenting analysis and recommendations

- Extensive skill in using a computer in a Windows environment with word processing, spreadsheet, database, report writing and other business software
- Experience with Concur and QuickBooks a plus
- Skill in planning, organizing and prioritizing work assignments to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced and changing environment, and in completing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, agency staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment
