Job Overview:
The General Manager provides strategic thought leadership, innovative approaches, and a passion for people and results to the business they lead. The ideal candidate for this role has extensive experience in the Consumer Services industry. The person in this role demonstrates thoughtful strategy in developing operational success for their brand and leadership team. They are responsible for driving customer satisfaction and YOY growth goals pertaining to EBITDA and revenue.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and implement operational budget to achieve growth goals for revenue and profit
- Manage P&L and model out the financial impact of decisions
- Develop sales growth strategy and forecasts for market mix and profitability
- Establish, maintain, and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures for the brand
- Oversee all safety reporting and minimize legal liability for the location
- Review financial reports, monthly bonuses, and labor rates for all departments and report to Senior Leadership Team on a regular basis
- Maintain operational statistics to include calls, daily sales, technician tracking, vehicle maintenance, etc.
- Develop and establish company quarterly and annual goals; drive team to meet or exceed goals
- Oversee people operations of company including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and terminations
- Ensure employees are completing required certifications
- Develop plans for efficient use of equipment & inventory as well as maintenance of brand offices and warehouse cleanliness
- Maintain brand standards for communicating with customers ensuring positive customer relationships and experiences
- Evaluate processes and engage in continuous improvement for warehouse operations, service and install processes, and customer relationships
- Engage with online customer reviews and customer complaints daily and resolve issues as they arise
- Demonstrate leadership by being able to run calls and convert sales when goals are not being met, or to stoke the competitive flames needed for a healthy sales environment
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA/BBA) or 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- MS/MA/MBA preferred
- Minimum of three 3 years management experience required
- Proven track record of P&L accountability as well as success in sales/operations, training/development, and customer service
- Sales and/or sales management experience desired
- Service Titan, Nexstar and Workday experience desired
- Ability to create, modify, and analyze reports using Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of general business operations, principles, concepts, and best practices
- Knowledge of managerial accounting and general financial concepts, including budgeting and managing profit & loss
- Leadership and management skills, including staffing, delegation, coaching, and performance management
- Assertiveness, sales, and influencing skills

- Organizational and time management
- Written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations
