Your nxtCareer Move: Our nxtDetails
- You will be working with our senior team assisting senior operations team in coordination and execution of logistics for our client programs, meetings, conferences and events;
- On every project, you will be utilizing the same set of tools created for remarkable results by NXTevent. You will be trained and expected to implement these tools for every program;
- You will manage responsibilities on each account you are assigned to, fully executing a program operationally with administration, management and overall execution;
- You will prepare RFP bid opportunities and circulate / collect back from vendors;
- You will financially coordinate programs including review invoices and billings for payment and accuracy as well as organizing payment through accounting;
- Maintain ongoing vendor relationships to ensure they are cost-effective and deliver quality service;
- Maintain strong relationships with our contractors, guides, and professional staffing resources;
- Research venues, hotels, locations and vendors for our client event programs;
- Support event programs by handling a specific aspect of large scale events or fully serve appropriately scaled programs;
- You will fully execute logistics and organize program elements including but not limited to venues/locations, transportation, décor, lighting, staffing, tours, audio visual, accommodations, entertainment and speakers/presenters.

Required Education, Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 to 5 years of event experience in destination and/or event management. POSITION DETAILS

- Maintain ongoing vendor relationships to ensure they are cost-effective and deliver quality service;
- Maintain strong relationships with our contractors, guides, and professional staffing resources;

- For smaller, less complex programs you will fully execute logistics and organize program elements including, but not limited to: venues/locations, transportation, décor, lighting, staffing, tours, audio visual, accommodations, entertainment and speakers/presenters.
Who are you?
We are currently recruiting for polished, hands-on, customer centric, and passionate Event Program Coordinators located in our north of Boston location for our programs mainly in Boston. Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are all imperative. Candidate should possess excellent customer service & phone skills, high energy, be obsessed with planning and details, as well as research. Experience with food and beverage, catering, transportation and special events is a plus. This is an exciting and very fastpace position. We need fast learners who will represent our firm and our services, our industry, our passionate and sophisticated approach towards the niche industry of event and destination management.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The perfect candidate has both the work aptitude and work attitude with a desire to learn and grow quickly. You will be able to be independent and entrepreneurial and then move into a Team Oriented Role for Every Event and Program.
- BA/BS or equivalent; will consider other certifications;
- Preferably 1-2 years of work experience in the events industry;
- Strong working knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software / company CRM;
- You must think sensibly but remain "creative"; able to think in-and-out of the box as well as on your feet; You must be self motivated and able to manage multiple projects;
- You will interface with our clients, our vendors, our client guests / attendees and strong communication skills (verbal and written) are imperative;
- You are naturally a perfectionist with extreme organization; this role and its scope requires extreme diligence and attention to detail;
- You understand financial accountability and the use of common sense when managing expenses and budgets for both our clients and our company; You have an uncanny ability to multi task successfully;
- You have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines- Handle company program matters and information appropriately and with discretion;

- Flexible schedule; as required and especially in first 3 months ... In 2022, we have a full schedule of events including our summer months, but in general peak months are typically April through end of June, and mid September through December. It's during this period that you can expect to work full weeks and quite a few weekends at the live event programs.
