Johnson Law Group is a fast-paced, high-volume plaintiffs’ law firm in the Greenway Plaza area seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join our firm. Responsibilities:
- Work with UK consultants in determining appropriate accounting software in adherence with SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) requirements / standards.
- Ensure all accounting systems meet regulatory and JLG standards
- The accounting software will be integrated with the UK Salesforce initiative that will replace the existing Proclaim client management system. Current accounting is processed through Proclaim. This individual will ensure the integration of the accounting software with Salesforce working with the consultants and confirm that it meets the UK SRA accounting requirements
- Work with Houston personnel and consultants with the U.S. Salesforce initiative to ensure this new client system integrates with our current and potentially new accounting software
- Research, recommend and implement new accounting software for our firm to replace QuickBooks
- Develop a software solution (internal or external) for a large volume of client payments (400,000+). Solution must seamlessly integrate with JLG existing case management and accounting systems.
- Review our existing internal accounting controls for improvements and implement changes, if needed
- Work hand in hand with internal and external resources as we look for ways to expand our offerings of new lines of business
- Create documentation of business processes and training materials as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college in accounting, finance or computer science.
- 5+ years Finance/Accounting experience including use of accounting software
- Candidate must have at least three (3) years of experience with system rollouts and integration from an accounting inclusion standpoint

- Strong communication skills to communicate clearly with internal and external resources on these projects and apprise leadership of project status and hurdles
- Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
- Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
- Superior organization skills with excellent follow through
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Experience with UK SRA requirements a plus

Pay: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
