The Sensory Studio is a leading and nurturing private pediatric Speech and Occupational Therapy center, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and their families. We take pride in creating a warm and inclusive environment where families can feel at home.
As a Parent Coordinator, you will be the face of our practice, greeting incoming patients and families with a warm smile and providing them with essential support. While reception duties are a core aspect of this role, you will also be conducting initial phone intakes and ensuring that families have a smooth and positive experience from their very first interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as a team member; divide and conquer responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
- Welcome and greet all incoming patients and families with a bright and friendly demeanor.
- Answer phones and emails promptly, providing families with helpful information and assistance.
- Schedule appointments and manage the therapy center's calendar efficiently.
- Conduct initial phone intakes with families, gathering necessary information and addressing their questions and concerns.
- Assist with insurance and medical billing inquiries, working closely with our billing department when needed.
- Liaise with therapists to ensure a seamless flow of information and appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Keep abreast of the therapy services and programs offered, providing families with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Collaborate with the therapy team to optimize the patient experience and improve overall practice efficiency.
- Support Administration, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and families.
- High energy and a warm, welcoming demeanor to make families feel comfortable and supported.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in reception, customer service, or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of insurance and medical billing procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work well in a team setting and independently when needed.
- Empathy and understanding towards the needs of children and their families.

We operate a summer schedule of Tuesday-Thursday 8:00 am- 7:30pm, with a rotating Monday cycled in; and a school term schedule (September-June) schedule of Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-7pm.
