Job Summary
Hospitality HQ is looking for an Event Coordinator to curate events that generate sales through catering, events and engagements. The Event Coordinator will be boots on the ground and required to promote the food hall by increasing community engagement through foot traffic in the food hall, social media marketing, and field sales efforts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities
· Manage catering, events, and space rental inquiries for the food hall facility
· Coordinate partnerships and leverage relationships to drive exposure of the food hall and its unique catering & event and programming offerings
· Create and execute regularly recurring programming within the food hall facility
· Coordinate vendor participation in programming and events working with and through the GM/AGM
· Coordinate tours, talks, and other small-format events including working with local third-party partners and organizations
· Leverage local relationships to maximize exposure of the food hall and collective vendor community
· Collaborate and support the execution and production of HHQ-sponsored events
· Engage community-based stakeholders to ensure the food hall is accessible to a diverse customer base
· Build a database of local customer contact information. Engage and prospect potential customers.
· Coordinate promotional press and other promotional events working with the Marketing team and other appropriate personnel from HHQ Management
· Coordinate closely with marketing and creative staff on executing print, digital and physical needs for promotional initiatives, programming, and events
· Coordinate design and development of print and digital promotional collateral and liaise with the creative team to ensure timely production and installation of assets
· Liaise with the Marketing and Social Media Departments to ensure regular communication about promotional opportunities with the collective vendor community
· Assist with repair and maintenance of installed physical assets and other merchandising and/or promotional installations
Job Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, marketing, communications, or a related field may be preferred.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively plan, organize, and execute events while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Being detail-oriented is crucial for ensuring that all aspects of an event are planned and executed flawlessly.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to achieve event objectives.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to think quickly on your feet and address any issues or challenges that arise during events.
- Customer Service: A focus on providing excellent customer service to clients and attendees, ensuring a positive experience.
- Time Management: Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage event timelines efficiently.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools for planning and coordinating events.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as events may require.
- Creativity: Ability to bring innovative ideas to the table and create engaging event experiences.
- Previous Experience: 1-2 years of any relevant internship, volunteer work, or part-time job experience in event planning or hospitality can be advantageous.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
