Seeking a motivated individual to become part of a successful warehouse team, making local pick up and deliveries, as per the needs of the company. Assistance with dock operations, unloading and loading material inventory, and/or mail product as needed. Must possess strong material handling capabilities, with an energetic ambition, for best results in accuracy, achievement, and high levels of efficiency, as is our standard.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties in addition may be assigned, as is needed.
· Communication with the warehouse supervisory team, to set daily priorities, project updates, and pertinent information, for the planning of day to day operations.
· Directives and instructions given for trailer moves, daily plans of assignment, and communications for any details needed for specifics to fulfill tasks as promptly and efficiently as possible.
· Daily checks on all trailer equipment, completed logs needing to be filled out, and a state document processed for the assessment of the company tractor, and any other equipment in use.
· In off time, with scheduled deliveries, assistance with receiving and unloading, and normal processes for operations in receiving, including housekeeping, or any other projects needing to be addressed.
· Also help with mail processes and loading of trailers as needed by our mail department. Direction will be shown and instructions given for specific tasks needed.
· Postal Equipment coordination, postal inventory checks, and helping to fill the supply areas, is as needed per shift.
· Material handling and putting away, to warehouse storage, production storing areas, or floor areas prior to the pulling process for production.
· Basic skills for scale, skid-wrapper, and printer operations, for material organization.
Education and Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
· Ability to read, write, and speak good English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
· Class A CDL License with good driving record, few to no incidents, and a good understanding of the Chicago metropolitan area, for when making pick-ups and deliveries.
· Must portray strong communication skills, and ability to work easily with others, for the highest levels in efficiency.
· Must have strong ability to follow instructions accurately, and abide by all company policies properly.
· Prior experience with material handling equipment is beneficial, specifically (narrow aisle lifts, forklifts, and both power and manual pallet trucks) Company Training will be provided.
· Previous Letter Shop or Printing Company experience is a plus for our industry needs.
· Employees must have reliable transportation, to and from our workplace.
· Ability to work flexible hours at times, extra hours, and possible weekend overtime if needed.
Physical and Mental demands
· Ability to lift or carry up to (50) pounds including, bending or stooping for any organization of material inventory.
· Ability to adapt and function in a fast paced working environment.
· Willingness to troubleshoot issues, that pertain to the immediate responsibilities, and offer solutions, to enhance the effectiveness of our company and its operations.
