Position Overview:A Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. They are crucial in helping businesses improve their processes, products, services, and software through data analysis. Responsibilities and Duties: Requirement Gathering: - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and gather detailed requirements. - Document business requirements and create functional specifications.
Data Analysis: - Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Process Improvement: - Evaluate existing business processes and suggest improvements. - Implement new processes and systems to enhance business performance.
Project Management: - Work with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects. - Monitor project progress and identify any potential issues or risks.
Stakeholder Communication: - Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed of project status and changes.
Documentation and Reporting: - Create detailed documentation of business processes, requirements, and specifications. - Prepare and present reports to management and other stakeholders.
Testing and Quality Assurance: - Develop and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements. - Identify and resolve any issues or defects in collaboration with the development team.
Training and Support: - Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes. Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau/PowerBI)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of business process modeling and improvement methodologies
