Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Currently seeking an experienced, full-time Senior Staff Accountant. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the company's growth, while further developing your accounting skills.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of five to seven years of accounting experience.
Role Responsibilities:
- The purpose of this position is to support the Corporate Controller on all financial affairs including preparing interim financial statements, and reconciling and preparing supporting schedules.
- This position is also responsible for maintaining integrity of general accounting and financial reporting along with creating process improvement within the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
- We are seeking a self-motivated individual, who has analytical and organizational skills.
- The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, along with solid verbal and written communication. S/he has demonstrated time management skills, accountability, prompt follow-through, and the ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and present findings and recommendations to management
- Perform general ledger functions as part of the month and year end close including entries, account analysis and reconciliations.
- Support year-end financial, licensing, client, and tax audits
- Assist in Developing Annual Budgets and Forecasts and monitor actual results of financial data against budget/forecast
- Accounts Receivable: Daily and monthly reconciliation of cash receipts, AR aging analysis, etc.
- Accounts Payable: Vendor invoice two-way matching, check processing, vendor statement reconciliation, etc,
- Annual business tax, personal property, and Quarterly sales tax reporting
- Prepare yearly vendor 1099s
- Monthly Bank and Credit card Reconciliations
- Assist in compiling supporting documents for yearly tax preparation
- Assist in department KPI dashboard reporting
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of General Accounting Practices
- Proficiency with a variety of accounting concepts, practices and procedures
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of PC Apps, Microsoft Suite, and general ledger accounting software
- Demonstrated time management, multi-tasking, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
- Work well under pressure, competing deadlines, and under minimal supervision
- Positive and professional attitude with the ability to work with diverse personalities at all levels of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related fields and at least 8 years of previous accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bonus for working within a healthcare or medical practice environment, and/or CPA or MBA preferred but not required
