Our Kirkwood dental office, Magnolia Family Dental, is looking for an experienced Front Office Receptionist with a positive attitude and outstanding verbal skills. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a natural ability to connect with patients on a personal level and who enjoys multitasking. We are looking for someone who has experience working with Dentrix software, knows how to schedule patients within a block schedule format, and who would enjoy being a part of our small, friendly dental team.
Some Key Responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients warmly by name.
- Oversee the appointment book day to day, fill openings in the schedule, and plan ahead into the future. Work within a block scheduling format.
- Answer all forms of incoming calls and electronic correspondence (emails, texts, etc).
- Collect payments and follow up with these as needed.
- Answer patient questions regarding treatment plans, insurance, emergency calls, etc. using clinical dental knowledge.
- Manage existing system for confirming appointments, verifying insurance, checking tasks lists, etc.
- Managing recall and continuing care systems.
- Confirming scheduled appointments.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to get to know patients on a personal level
- Solid understanding of Dentrix (ledger, office journal, insurance coverage, etc)
- Able to troubleshoot computer or work with remote IT support as needed
- Focused on customer service
- Self-motivated, yet team player
- Efficient at completing tasks
- Ability to multitask with a smile
- Organized and detail oriented
- Experience working in a dental front office
