Job Summary
The QA Assistant Manager will ensure food safety and quality of the product produced in the facility. They ensure that specifications are defined and communicated while performing inspection of processes, employee training, compliance with applicable food laws and regulations and maintaining HACCP plans to regulatory compliance. They will participate in resolving customer complaints and are an integral part of plant leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the QA Manager to develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and potential areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor QC team members to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes.
- Develop strategies and action plans to address identified quality concerns and enhance overall product
- quality.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to address any quality-related issues or concerns.
Experience:
- Prior experience in quality assurance or a related field
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and quality management practices
- Familiarity with analyzing data and conducting quality audits
- Understanding of FDA regulations and quality control processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
