Administrative: Purchasing Agent
Property Masters is seeking an organized individual to work within the Purchasing Department at our Woodstock, GA corporate office. Department hours are 7AM – 5:30PM EST; subject to change. Pay $37,000-$40,000
This position will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services across multiple lines of business including retail and contracting-based businesses.
Job Purpose: Support Operations by monitoring cost under the relevant heads of expenditure.
Ensure Work Requests are issued timely and accurately. Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedules. Maintains computerized procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Troubleshoot defective or unacceptable goods or services and take corrective action.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Prepare Work Requests and Purchase Orders
- Perform Work Request tasks as requested
- Order placement & management of appliances and materials
- Supply Project Managers with order updates as needed
- Material Sales for subcontractors
- Phone Sales ; Online & Email Orders ; Reimbursements
- Troubleshoot discrepancies of Vendor Invoices with Accounts Payable
- Reconciliation of Supplier Accounts, to include expense coding
- Research & Evaluate areas of opportunities to reduce cost where possible
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates must be motivated and energetic with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment, while being malleable to developing processes. Must maintain the ability to think critically with attention to detail, while remaining organized and multi-tasking. Ability to work collaboratively with office and field staff.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with focus on Outlook & Excel
- Comfortable navigating new software programs and processes, as developed
- Knowledge or proficiency in Dynamics 365 software, to include Business Central, a plus!
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write instructions; short correspondence; and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information to associates, suppliers, and contractors.
- Bilingual, a plus!
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
- Some college, preferred.
- Customer Service: 3+ years, preferred.
- Experience in, or strong working knowledge of, a procurement-focused position
- Experience in, or strong working knowledge of, residential-based construction
