Nestled near White Rock Lake in beautiful Lake Highlands, a suburb of East Dallas, the School is centrally located in the heart of Dallas. This 1st-12th grade co-ed school with 150 total enrolled students is marked by a rich and colorful history. With over 50 years of service, Dallas Academy reached a milestone in 2015-2016 by gaining the distinction of being the oldest school in the State of Texas to serve students with learning differences.
TITLE: Administrative Assistant and Front Office Manager
(2024-2025 School Year)
Dallas Academy is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant and Front Office Manager. The Administrative Assistant and Front Office Manager will report directly to the Head of School and provide administrative support to the Head of School. In addition, they will support the daily operations and functions of the front office. Preferred candidates will be excellent communicators, proactive in supporting the Head of School and administrative team and be responsive to a fast-paced environment with ever-shifting demands. They will also have a warm, friendly, professional demeanor.
REPORTS TO: Head of School
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the Head of School to perform regular administrative support including preparing correspondence, preparing reports and documents, and managing schedule
· Maintain confidentiality on all sensitive matters
· Office management
· Communication liaison between parents and staff
· Perform receptionist duties including answering phone calls, greeting visitors and answering general questions pertaining to the school
· Monitor front entrance and gate entry
· Run background checks on staff twice a year. Run Raptor security check on all visitors
· Manage school calendar
· Coordinate parent/teacher conferences
· Maintain and order office supplies
· Maintain manage student attendance
· Manage teacher and staff personal days record
· Other duties as assigned by the Head of School
Qualifications
· High School Diploma minimum, Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Experience in office setting
· Proficient in office technology including Microsoft platforms
· Knowledge of Renweb student records management preferred

· Excellent teamwork, time management, attention to detail and organizational skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Must maintain confidentiality
· Excellent customer service skills
· Friendly, personable, and ability to establish positive interpersonal connections
· Ability to multi-task
