Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in bank reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting. Proficiency in Xero and knowledge of GAAP are also required. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and career advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements on a regular basis
- Conduct technical accounting research to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and filings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial analysis and reporting needs
- Assist in the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Participate in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support
- Assist with special projects as assigned by management
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting or public accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and regulations
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
