As the
Community Relations Coordinator, networking is an art that involves engaging with agencies and community stakeholders. What You’ll Do-
Actively seek out opportunities to connect with essential community leaders, dedicated homeless service providers, and various private and non-profit organizations. Your mission is clear: build bridges with the PPCoC Governing and Executive Boards and the broader PPCoC membership to foster a collaborative network.

Lead administrative support for the PPCoC Executive and Governing Boards, PPCoC sub-committees, and PPCoC members, ensuring that all operations run smoothly, and communication is seamless, allowing everyone to stay focused on our shared goals.

Share robust narratives and stories to spread awareness about our mission, vision, and value, engaging current and new relationships, partners, agencies, and stakeholders, that highlight our successes and challenges, and inspire others to join our cause.

Facilitate homelessness reporting and critical work streams including the PPCoC, the Point-In-Time Count (PIT), US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), and the Coalition of Homelessness Advocates and Providers (CHAP).
- You orchestrate the development, organization, and execution of various tasks, including handle scheduling, preparing for meetings, communication, facilitation, logistics, event planning, stakeholder correspondence, and follow-ups with finesse, ensuring that every detail is meticulously managed.
- Time is spent spearheading sub-committees designed to create engaging and compelling connections. Your efforts enhance participation and involvement, expand our reach and impact, and align strategic priorities with the PPCoC Board, its broader membership, and our dedicated CHP team.

Collaboration is at the heart of your work. You strategize with PPCoC membership organizations and the CHP Homeless Initiatives team to enhance and identify new initiatives. Your innovative approaches help us engage differently with the community, discovering new opportunities to prevent homelessness and to make an impact for people experiencing homelessness

Your days are filled with dynamic interactions, as you serve as the point of contact and conduit for local government officials, economic development agencies, business leaders, and various non-profit and community organizations, representing PPCoC and CHP, embodying our values and vision.
Capabilities & Areas of Expertise-
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public or Community Health, Nonprofit Administration, Public Relations, or a related field, discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education, training, and/or experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Three (3) or more years of experience in community relations/outreach, public relations, customer care or government relations position.
- Non-profit experience, ideally working with community collaborative efforts and knowledge of local, state, and federal programs, policies, organizations, and resources.
- Keen attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, excellent written communication and correspondence, and experience preparing and delivering presentations.

Experience planning campaigns, projects, or outreach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Proven experience working and interacting with local and state government officials, organizations, and teams.

Salary range for this full-time position is $23.00 – $32.00/ hour depending on experience.
