The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-Assistant) is a valuable employee for the speech department. Here at Early Bird Pediatric Therapy, we strive to ensure our staff feels supported. The department holds SLP Lead positions to ensure a therapist is available to facilitate therapy, answer questions, conduct supervision and co/treats, as well as review documentation and planning for future sessions.
Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-Assistant) will treat patients with cognitive and/or developmental delays on a reoccurring basis in order to develop functional socialization, functional communication, and/or articulation. All goals will be set by the supervising SLP using clinical reasoning and parent collaboration.
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and sensory feeding and swallowing disorders in children. Additionally, provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. It is important to work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines as Early Bird offers ST/OT/PT/ABA services on site.
No traveling is required for this position. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish). Must have a valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas. Must be available Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm for peak hours. Pediatric experience preferred.
Currently offering a $500 sign on bonus for SLP-Assistants and a $1000 sign on bonus for CCC-SLPs.
