Job Description:
The Civil & Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing civil/structural design calculations, prepare calculation packages, details, coordinating with team of designers and drafters and reporting to the lead engineer. Work may also include field work, conceptual studies, checking construction drawings, and preparing projects specs and material requisitions.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist lead engineer in execution of a project
- Perform conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, layouts, design calculations, specification development and construction documents
- Provides basic design of civil and structural components necessary for the development of a project
- To perform structural steel design for Industrial Structures, Process Structures, Rail and Truck Loading Structures, Pipe and Cable Tray Racks, platform steel design and other industrial designs as required.
- To perform reinforced concrete design for Equipment Foundations, Concrete Structures, Containment Systems, Plant Buildings, retaining walls and other industrial designs as required.
- Structural engineer shall have ability of understanding, interpreting and correctly applying national codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, AISC, OSHA and ASTM
- Meet with new project client and help prepare estimates and proposals.
- Experience using STAAD Software
- Experience with steel design, structural foundation and equipment design.
- Familiarity with Process industry standards
- Experience with billing codes: ACI/AISC/IBC
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
· Five (5) to Ten (10)+ years related experience required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to conduct meetings and presentations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with quick responses to new issues.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to sit, stoop, prolonged walking during field trips
· Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $98,767.00 - $105,924.00 per year
