Duties:
o Supports Executive Pastry Chef in leading the team, managing production, administrative duties, as well as recipe and menu development
o Supervises and mentors the pastry team ensuring quality, efficiency and accuracy.
o Testing and developing new recipes for pastries, desserts, and other sweets.
o Managing the pastry staff and collaborating with other chefs and team members.
o Following sanitation regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
o Provides training, coaching, mentorship, motivation and direction to all kitchen colleagues, continually striving to develop colleagues in all areas of culinary and leadership skills.
```Qualifications:```
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a catering or restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional dishes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
