Are you passionate about solving technical problems and providing excellent customer support? We are looking for a dedicated Field Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will respond promptly to help desk inquiries, offering remote and on-site support. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing, evaluating, and resolving end-user issues related to software, hardware, and network problems. This position is perfect if you thrive under minimal supervision and enjoy a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Help Desk Support: Respond promptly to all help desk inquiries, providing technical support over the phone or on-site.
- Task Management: Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
- Documentation: Properly document all tickets in the online Help Desk System to maintain accurate records.
- Technical Support: Perform installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of personal computers and related software/hardware, both remotely and on-site.
- Problem Solving: Identify, evaluate, and solve end-user workstation problems, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support, adapting new techniques to serve our clients better.
- Equipment Setup: Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software/hardware as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Technical Knowledge: Utilize your Windows, Active Directory, and Networking knowledge to support end-users.
- Communication: Effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing to various end-users.
Requirements:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required—Bachelor’s Degree pDegreeed.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of help desk experience required. A bachelor’s degree in help desk experience is preferred.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+ preferred.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), remote tools, and networking.
- Connectivity: Familiarity with client PC connectivity, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, and VPN.
- Domain Environment: Experience working in a domain environment at the desktop level.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work some evenings and Saturdays during peak periods, such as audits, emergency response events, and fiscal year-end.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to consistently move/carry 50 lbs.
- Legal Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment testing, including background screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug test.
