We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team in a fast-paced and dynamic food service environment. Our Assistant Kitchen Manager will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety, and contributing to the overall success of our store. This position will assist our Kitchen Manager in overseeing all aspects of food production and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in managing and supervising kitchen staff.
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste.
- Work effectively in a team environment, providing support and guidance to other kitchen staff.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and communication.
- Participate in catering events and other special occasions.
- Utilize knives and other kitchen tools to prepare and cook food.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude, adhering to the standards of the food industry.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 year's experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
- Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
- Knowledge of knife skills and the ability to handle sharp objects safely.
- Familiarity with the food industry and its standards.
