Job Summary:
StarMark Partners, a Federal Government Subcontractor, is seeking Data Entry Contractors and Supervisory Data Entry Contractors with excellent customer service skills to join our team working with the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Point of Entry Processing Facility located in Paso Del Norte, El Paso, TX.
Position Tasks for Data Entry Contractors:
- Perform administrative functions related to processing noncitizens after they present themselves at a U.S. port of entry, including storing and tracking their personal property, directing them to various areas, distributing food and water, recording amenities used/offered, and other similar functions.
- Provide directions to noncitizens as to the appropriate processing area within or between facilities.
- Demonstrate and/or describe noncitizen self-fingerprinting or DNA collection requirements.
- Prepare administrative documentation (both paper and electronic) for validation by federal government personnel and maintain documents related to the inspection and processing of noncitizens, including reports concerning transportation and removal of detained noncitizens.
- Log information about detained noncitizens into Government information systems, including the status of regular welfare checks and conditions in custody.
- Arrange transport for noncitizens in custody to detention, medical facilities, and other necessary locations.
- Witness pat downs conducted by federal government personnel.
- Stock inventory of basic needs for detainees (food, clothing, blankets, grooming products, bedding, etc.).
- Collect and transport supplies and medications, move files and other task-related items within ports of entry and surrounding areas, using unmarked, unbranded, non-law enforcement, government vehicles with prior authorization from port management.
- Contact noncitizen family members for contact information confirmation (when an issue arises).
- Provide noncitizens directions to the appropriate processing area within or between facilities.
Position Tasks for Supervisory Data Entry Contractors:
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Receive complaints and resolve problems.
- Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
- Prepare and submit performance reports.
Position Requirements and Qualifications for all levels, Data Entry Contractors
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be functionally bi-lingual (reading and writing) in English and Spanish.
- Must be able to multi-task, such as meeting deadlines while also responding to employee inquiries.
- Must be skilled in operating personal computers and utilizing various software packages, such as Microsoft (MS) Office applications, such as MS Word and Excel, to complete assignments.
- Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to deal with conflicts, confrontations, and disagreements in a positive manner, which minimizes personal impact, including controlling one’s feelings and reactions.
- Must be able to effectively deal with others in favorable and unfavorable situations regardless of status or position.
- Must accept interpersonal and cultural diversity.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must be able to obtain a Government security clearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.18 - $25.62 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
