The Department of Children and Families (DCF), Office of Education has an immediate need for a Teacher at the DCF Regional School - Cumberland Campus located in Vineland, NJ.
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Educational Programs or Assistant Supervisor of Educational Programs, the Teacher plans, executes, and evaluates the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class or classes; exercising independent judgement and with a comprehensive knowledge of department rules, regulations and policies; does other related duties as required.
Please note that schools within OOE have a 12-month school year.
SPECIAL NOTE: This is an interim appointment (IA) which will expire upon the return of the employee on leave of absence.
SPECIAL NOTE: This position is shared with our Atlantic Campus.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Position requires possession of a New Jersey Standard Teacher Certificate or valid NJ Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) issued by the NJ Department of Education, in the following secondary subject content area:
* Career & Technical Education (CTE) – Culinary Arts
SPECIAL NOTE: Experience teaching special needs and/or at-risk students is preferred.
LICENSE: Possession of a valid NJ Standard Teacher's Certificate or Permanent Endorsement, issued by the Board of Examiners of the New Jersey Department of Education, authorizing instruction in subject’s areas appropriate to the teaching assignment, as determined by the head of a particular school or district.
SPECIAL NOTE: Ability to physically lift, move and position students as needed.
STARTING SALARY: $60,062.18 - $78,430.65, commensurate with certificate and experience.
