Job Description:
We are hiring a Staff Accountant on behalf of our client. This position offers the flexibility to work either hybrid or fully remote, but candidates must reside in Georgia. The ideal candidate will have over a year of full-cycle accounting experience and a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
- Conduct variance analyses and prepare financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- 1+ year of experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must reside in Georgia and have the ability to work hybrid or fully remote.
