To be successful in this role, you'll need to have experience and a strong understanding of automotive anatomy and mechanics and take pride in your work. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Has a working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and can accurately assess visible and hidden damage on the vehicle.
- Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
- Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
- Perform all body repairs according to estimate and manufacturer standards.
- Performs welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame repairs.
- Participates in all required safety meetings and training classes.
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
- Maintains all tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or change delivery time.
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of related experience as a collision repair technician.
- Requires maximal physical demands involving bending, lifting, reaching and pushing/pulling.
- I-CAR and/or ASE/or OEM certifications in auto body repair preferred.
- Ability to use frame machine & measuring system.
- Experience with Aluminum body & frame structure repair & welding.
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
- Experience in Heavy, Medium and Light collision repair.
- Able to read and understand a collision estimate.
- Own your own tools.
- A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
