POSITION OVERVIEW
Conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior).
Control access and egress of all personnel and visitors.
Monitor multiple IP surveillance monitors simultaneously along with alarm systems.
Compose a variety of reports. Actively deter criminal activity and misconduct.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Maintains facility security requirements and follows procedures for safeguarding proprietary and customer furnished items.
Issue and collect visitor badges using the MM system and show the orientation video.
Briefs incoming staff/visitors on security processes and debriefs outgoing staff/visitors.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Investigate and write reports of daily activities, incidents, irregularities, and accidents such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Complete the security checklist on your assigned shift.
Accurately match lot and seal numbers for outgoing shipments.
Respond in a timely manner to a plant emergency and follow the Company’s emergency procedures.
Calibrate the metal detector and replace signage.
Handling of objects and equipment and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Be a “U.S. person” pursuant to section 120.15 of the International Traffic in Armss Regulations (ITAR), required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience using security access programs, required.
Ability to learn to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors, required.
Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate professionally with the public, required.
Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace, required.
Ability to work flexible schedules and mandatory department overtime as needed, required.
MS Office experience, preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Employees may be required to work any shift, including evening, weekend or holiday shifts, as needed by the Company.
Any modifications to the employee's schedule will be communicated by the Manager.
This is a full-time position, but some overtime work may be required.
