Job Description
General Summary Of Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution
- Ensures the quality of operations in the Surveillance Department on assigned shift
- Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
- Protects casino assets and gaming integrity, though the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.
- Directs the flow of surveillance reports to the proper individuals within the casino, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to lead, train and develop surveillance Team Members on assigned shift of duties and responsibilities, and ensures that they are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
- Maintains world class service levels in the Surveillance Department, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining Team Members, as needed.
- Reviews all daily activity reports and prepares shift reports for management.
- Coordinates, with the Gaming Control Board and other departments, when surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention as appropriate.
- Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Observes, documents, videotapes and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property.
- Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.
- Reviews surveillance coverage and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate casino officials and outside agencies, as needed.
- Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed in an office environment and throughout the property in all locations. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.
Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, Team Members and guests is necessary. Requires prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Requires bending and reaching. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires use of standard office equipment and specialized surveillance equipment. Requires basic math. Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Ability to and comply with policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
Experience Requirements
Knowledge of and experience with closed circuit television equipment required. Minimum of two years in casino surveillance supervision or related area preferred. Excellent knowledge of all table games required and training experience preferred. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect and teach schemes, cheating activity and advantage play. Full knowledge of E-Connect, Itrak and Microsoft Office
Role: The Surveillance Shift Supervisor will oversee and assist in overseeing the Guest and Team Member experience at the Westgate Resort and Casino.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related area from a four-year college or university preferred and/or equivalent work experience.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
