About This Role
As an Installer , your responsibilities are to assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules.
Responsibilities
- As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to conduct a solar site assessment as well as assemble, install, and/or maintain/service solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in accordance with design plans
- May include but not be limited to; measuring, cutting, attaching, and assembling structural framing (racking systems), solar modules, and other necessary components to complete a solar installation
- Layout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardware
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
- Document completion of completed installation
- Work with a team to install the racking system and solar panels on residential roofs
- Maintain a high quality of installation
- Prepare trucks for installs in the upcoming day making sure everything is neat and organized
- Service the solar system as needed
- Clean and prepare trucks at the end of the day to ensure that the vehicle is ready for the next day’s use
- Occasional work in the warehouse organizing equipment
- Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and Solar standards
- Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of solar installation, construction and/or roofing
- Ability to work well with others that are on your team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to keep a positive attitude
- Ability to be comfortable being and working on roofs
- Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipment
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements (This role requires a valid Driver’s License and clean MVR to drive a company vehicle.)

- Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders (Daily)
- Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs. routinely (Daily)
- Ability to work in 0-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to move around for prolonged periods. standing, kneeling, bending, Squat and climbing ladders (Daily)
