Auditorium Director
Position: Auditorium Director for Mt. Vernon High
Reports to: Building Administrators
Hours: 750 hours per year at the auditorium hourly rate
Job Expectations:
- Respect student and school confidentiality.
- Participate in orientation and professional development activities provided by the school and training related to the position.
- Work with and assemble a tech crew consisting of approximately 30 students.
- Provide expectations for the tech crew and maintain high supervision and safety.
- Teach students to use sound and lighting panels to run the school and outside events.
- Demonstrate experience in technical theater: construction of sets, lighting and sound design, safety, and collaboration with the theater director (two musicals per school year).
- Work with vendors to source maintenance and materials for the auditorium and with the administration on budgets.
- Work effectively with students, teachers, staff, school administration, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain auditorium calendars and tracking systems.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding scheduled events.
- Perform all other duties as directed by the administration.
- Follow school and corporation protocols and policies.
