Summary: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for developing plans to reduce problem behaviors and teach appropriate replacement behaviors for children, adolescents, and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. The BCBA will conduct functional behavior assessments, and skills assessment and develop behavior and treatment plans in collaboration with parents, caregivers, educators and other team members. The behavior analyst is also responsible for developing skills acquisition programming, training parents, line therapists and other caregivers on all behavior change protocols, analyzing data and adjusting plans as needed based on data.

- Conduct functional assessment and/or functional analysis of target behaviors, including indirect assessments, direct observations, and experimental analyses.
- Develop behavior intervention plans and general behavioral guidelines, in collaboration with parents, caregivers, educators and other team members, to decrease challenging behaviors and increase replacement behaviors.
- Conduct competency-based training on behavior plans, skill acquisition programming and all other behavior change procedures for line therapists, parents, and any other team members with whom clients are in regular contact.
- Ensure correct implementation of behavior support plans. skill acquisition programs and other behavior change procedures through the effective use of data and graphing, direct observations, team consultation, and records review.
- Recommend and develop program modifications to the team as necessary.
- Analyze all behavior and skill acquisition data weekly.
- Complete a monthly report that describes trends, changes in behaviors, or any other significant events that may have impact the behaviors of the client, recommendations of the BCBA and any trainings or relevant programming actions that occurred during the month.
- Conduct skills assessments to determine programming needs and treatment recommendations.
- Develop treatment plans in accordance with requirements of client specific payor and company procedures.

- Ensure compliance with statewide policies and procedures through presentation of behavior plans to behavior development committees and human rights committees as applicable.
- Track and monitor billable Behavior Analyst services and submitted before payroll deadlines for prompt payments.
- Clock in and out daily or submit timecard adjustments by payroll deadlines.
- Attend client centered meetings (IEPs, ISPs, BSPs, IFSPs) as appropriate
- Consult and coordinate services with other education and health care professionals on an as needed basis for all clients on caseload.
- Participate in intake meetings with prospective clients as requested.
- Attend all required company meetings and trainings.
- Maintain certification and licensure.
- Participate on continuing education as required for certification maintenance.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Provide classroom and in-vivo individual and group trainings to team members, line therapists and members of the community on a variety of behavior analytic topics.
- Perform fidelity checklists for supervision of behavior technicians / RBTs
- Immediately report any performance or professional challenges to the Director to address • Collect data on the client's behaviors, program targets, and teaching procedures.
- Demonstrate understanding of the services, individual needs, and goals for clients.
- Provide direct supervision to line therapists.
- Observe and record client's behavior.
- Communicate regularly with behavior technicians, registered behavior technicians, Director, parents, caregivers and other team members.
- Is receptive to feedback and constructive criticism to improve skills, implements and demonstrates follow through of recommendations given by supervisor.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to ensure client safety and confidentiality. • Follows ethical and professional guidelines as prescribed by supervisors, Missouri Behavior Analyst Advisory Board and BACB Guidelines for Responsible Conduct.
- Manage and check for updated data, quick notes, and other submissions by technicians every Tuesday and Thursday.
- Upload SOAP notes, parent meeting notes, and technician fidelity checklists at the end of every session/visit/meeting.
- Follows supervisory chain of command.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Applicants should have experience with implementing functional behavior assessments with children, adolescents and/or adults with autism, recognizing and discussing signs of autism and criteria for autism spectrum disorder, and participating in clinical teams with other autism professionals.
Applicants should have a strong clinical background in administering verbal behavior assessments, conducting language, play, and skill-based assessments, and in designing, implementing, and/or training others using individualized language, play and skill-based curricula.
Strong applicants will have supervised experience in 1:1 education of learners with autism across educational and community settings, as well as familiarity with designing, participating in, or supervising in-home 1:1 programs for young children with Emergent Learning Center: BCBA 3 autism. Experience with collecting, graphing, analyzing, displaying and discussing data based progress is a must.
_ Education and/or Experience:_
- Minimum 2 years experience providing services to individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities.
- National Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Licensure as a Behavior Analyst in the state of Missouri (or meets the eligibility criteria for licensure)
- Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education or a related field. Strong consideration is given to candidates with degrees from ABA accredited programs.
Therapeutic Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practice of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Strong knowledge of the behavioral, cognitive, educational, vocational and social challenges encountered by persons with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others. • Effective negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with various technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, tablet apps.
- Extensive experience in working with people with developmental disabilities • Strong leadership skills

The BCBA must also be able to quickly discern when to block, move away from the client, use personal protective equipment and implement other crisis intervention strategies including but not limited to approved physical restraint and transport procedures, as well as instruct and coach other staff through the correct use of these processes.
- The employee at any time needs to be able to lift, stoop, squat, kneel and move up to 25 pounds independently or a child’s weight with assistance as appropriate.
- The employee at any time needs to be able to implement physical and nonphysical crisis intervention procedures according to company-specific crisis intervention training. Work Hazards:
- Clients may engage in challenging behaviors which may pose a risk of injury to staff. Behaviors may include but are not limited to physical aggression, property destruction/throwing items, and challenging behaviors involving bodily fluids. The BCBA will be required to utilize personal protective equipment as directed to minimize risk of injury.
- Exposure to bodily fluids (i.e., during assistance and teaching self-care and toileting skills, administering first aid if needed). Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated quarterly. All employees are subject to a 90 day probationary period of employment upon hire.
