**Job Title: Lead VPK Teacher**
**Location:** Monarch Childrens Academy, 13825 Townsend Dr., Orlando FL, 32828
**Position Type:** Full-time
**Salary:** $16.00 - $17.50
**Job Summary:**
Monarch Children's Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, possess excellent classroom management skills, and have a strong commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The Lead VPK Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all students and prepares them for kindergarten.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Curriculum Development and Implementation:**
- Implement our Frog Street curriculum
- Create lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Incorporate various teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
**Classroom Management:**
- Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and create a conducive learning environment.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff.
- **Assessment and Evaluation:**
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress using various assessment tools.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
**Communication and Collaboration:**
- Establish and maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and colleagues.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and implement school-wide initiatives and events.
**Professional Development:**
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops.
**Qualifications:**
- CDA with VPK certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- State certification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a VPK or early childhood setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred, but we offer several classes throughout the year at no cost to you.
