THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a publicly held healthcare company in Southern California who is looking for a talented Accounting Consultant to fill an interim position on the accounting team. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Consultant to partner with their Controller in managing the day-to-day accounting operations, managing the month-end close, overseeing reconciliations, as well as consolidating multiple entities.
This will be a 40+ hour per week, 4+ month engagement with a hybrid schedule, with four days in office and one day work-from-home. We will not consider applicants on a C2C basis nor taking on work on top of another permanent job.
INTERIM ACCOUNTING CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Controller to oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles, policies, and regulations.
- Collaborate with medical and operations teams to understand and document revenue arrangements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing accurate and timely reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to ensure accurate financial information and support business initiatives.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare industry required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Exceptional communicator with ability to present concepts, recommendations, and analyses to senior management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Superior problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage numerous projects with competing timelines.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.

Pay: From $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
