We are currently hiring Precision Machinist and Programmer with minimum 5 years experience in CNC and manual milling, turning, and grinding to make prototypes, equipment, fixtures, and tooling. Must be flexible to work weekends and/or overtime as needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
Required skills:
Interprets models, drawings, sketches or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating parts.
Inspects parts using standard measuring tools (Height gage, micrometers, calipers, etc.) before, during and after component machining.
Produces programs for CNC mill and lathe. Must produce first article acceptance of part to prove program for acceptance.
Selects appropriate tooling.
Determine appropriate feeds and speeds to produce parts efficiently.
Operate CNC mill and lathe.
Operate manual mill, lathe, surface grinder and other manual equipment.
Machine parts by measuring, marking, and scribing stock; setting up and operating lathe, mill, radial drill, shaper, grinder, etc.
Determine and execute appropriate fixturing strategy. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories as appropriate.
Confirms assembly by verifying dimensions, clearances, and alignment of parts and components with micrometers, thickness gauges, gauge blocks, dial indicators, etc.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Provides technical support to maintenance and operational personnel as assigned.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Tend to machines appropriately to ensure reliable performance and report problems as necessary.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desirable skills:
* Swiss Machine (Tsugami) operation and programming
* EDM operation and programming
* Mastercam programming experience
* Familiarity with SolidWorks
Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years CNC programming experience preferred. Controls and Instrumentation, Equipment Maintenance, Manufacturing Experience, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Tooling, Safety Management, Problem Solving, Documentation Skills, Power Tools, Judgment, Decision Making
