YOUR ROLE
Shu Ren International School in Berkeley, CA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic, Part-Time Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among students. This role involves working with students across various age groups from preschool to grade 5 and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Lead creative and age appropriate P.E. activities for a variety of grade and age levels

Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers

Organize and maintain all P.E. materials and equipment

Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all physical activities

Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education with other areas of the curriculum

Organize and participate in school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities

Promote a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel encouraged to participate
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field preferred

Valid teaching certification or license in physical education (preferred).

Previous experience teaching physical education, preferably in a school setting.

Strong knowledge of physical fitness, sports, and health education.

First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).

Mandarin fluency highly preferred

Fully vaccinated and up-to-date on all Covid-19 vaccinations for which you are eligible

Fluent in English (able to successfully attend workshops, read professional information and work collaboratively in the language.)

Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
