Job Title: Nursing Assistant
Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will be an integral part of providing exceptional patient care in various healthcare settings, including acute care facilities, long-term care centers, and home community care environments. The ideal candidate will assist in patient care, medication administration, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under established protocols and procedures
- Assist in medication administration and treatments as directed by healthcare providers
- Contribute to patient assessments and aid in developing nursing care plans
- Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care strategies
- Maintain accurate medical records and monitor patient progress effectively
- Participate in emergency situations and triage activities when necessary
- Support patients in memory care, behavioral health, and other specialized areas as required
Requirements:
- Experience or knowledge in medication administration
- Familiarity with behavioral health and memory care practices
- Exposure to Level I Trauma Center or acute care settings is advantageous
- Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
- Basic life support certification is preferred
- Prior experience in home community care or long-term care facilities is beneficial
