The Award Winning Speech Momi LLC, a staple in the therapeutic community, is growing its online Speech Pathology Assistant team.
Under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist, the SLPA assists in supplementing, enhancing, and extending speech/language therapy services by completing a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to, direct activities with clients designed to develop and enhance pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, cognition, memory retainment, and the use of assistive technology devices for communication.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts speech and language screenings, using the protocols developed by the supervising SLP;
- Provides direct assistance for speech and language to students and adults;
- Follows and implements documented treatment plans while monitoring client progress;
- Assists other multidisciplinary teams during the peak of client reviews and intakes/assessments;
- Co-adapts or co-modifies instructional materials as determined by the targeted treatment objectives;
- Assists in maintaining client records, tallying data, preparing charts, records, graphs, and reports;
- Assists in sharing online multidisciplinary input with requesting families and medical practitioners;
- Co-implements behavior management programs as designed by certified ABA/Neuro staff;
- Attends online clinical team meetings on an as needed basis
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Licenses and Certificates:
Current registration with a Board as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Knowledge of:
- Speech and language pathology equipment, materials, and procedures;
- Expressive, receptive and cognitive disorders;
- Learning patterns in both children and adults;
- Behavior management techniques and strategies;
- Routine record keeping.
