Job Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing employee performance, engagement, and adaptability. This position focuses on delivering effective training, creating learning materials, and supporting organizational change initiatives related to the move into a new hospital tower.
Job Responsibilities
New Team Member Orientation:

Conduct engaging and informative orientation sessions for new hires.

Create a conversational virtual environment for new team members to celebrate their arrival, create a sense of belonging and ensure understanding of the mission, vision and values.

Support administrative tasks supporting a successful orientation as needed.
Training Material Creation:

Develop high-quality training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Tailor content to meet the specific needs of different roles within the healthcare system.
Change Management Support:

Assist in managing the transition to the new hospital tower.

Provide training and resources to help employees adapt to changes in processes, technology, and physical environment.

Address employee concerns and promote a positive attitude toward the transition.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics.

Make necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience in designing and delivering training programs.

Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
